Is Ghost Blogging Unethical
Is Ghost Blogging Unethical You didnt write that post, but you put your name on it. You hired a ghost blogger. Ghost blogging: one person writes the blog posts, but another person gets the credit, with or without disclosure that the blog uses ghost written posts. Does that seem wrong to you? Unethical? Some say thats an easy yes, but others, particularly in the public relations industry, say no. It depends on how you see your content, and how comfortable you are with a lie. 1. Ghost Blogging Ruins The Relationship Social media and blog contentââ¬âits all about the relationship now, isnt that right? Were talking, were conversing, were engaging. Its all inbound marketing and in order for that to work, we have to be transparent and open and above all else, be concerned with connecting personally to our readers. In this strict definition, ghost blogging seems like a home-wrecker in our relationship with our audience. Blogger Dave Fleet has written an article about theà ethics of ghost writingà in social media, stating outright that it is unethical if it is undisclosed because it harms the relationship. Unlike ghost-written speeches, where the spokesperson lends their name and approval to the writing by actually saying the words, ghost-written blogs can be published without the named person ever seeing them. Fleet later wrote an article addressing ghost blogging directly, stating that it was wrong. Writing blog posts was part of relationship-building. When did outsourcing your relationships becomeà okay? Dave Fleet Maybe the question isnt whether ghost blogging is ethical or not, but instead, whether your blog is about relationships or information. Not All Blogs Are Relationships To play devils advocate, let me suggest that not all blogging is relationship building.à Some blogs are purely for information. Just as a writer publishes a book (paper or ebook), you buy it, you read it, you dont assume the author wants to start a transparent relationship with you. The information was the thing. Consider the many reasons people create blogs: Create and cultivate relationships. Develop their image and platform. Frame and speak on issues that affect them or their brand (self PR). Show themselves as thought leaders. Media catching (journalists contact them because of what they found on their blog) for attention. Communicate with the rest of the organization, or shareholders. A pure love of writing. Earning money from ads, sales, affiliates, etc. Attract search engines to their website where their business and products are found. Do all of these reasons really have to be considered relationships?à I know we are trained to think that way now,à but is it the only route? The trend and best practices youll hear now is that all content is framed in a relational and social approach. To be the devils advocate for a moment, I would suggest that it is also possible that you are only interested in relaying information and arent looking for a relationship (ask any seriously introverted writer about this). While you might see significantly different results than someone who views their content as relational, you are, at least, getting content on your site. If its good, youll still be found by search engines. Maybe thats enough for you.

The Site About Animism Assignment Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words
The Site About Animism - Assignment Example The material on this site is biased because it tends to describe more the characteristics of animism and its perspective instead of comparing it with other world major religions to understand its uniqueness and the traits it shares with other religions. The purpose of this website is to inform the reader of what animism is i.e. breath and soul, its early and present perspectives. This site is an acceptable source of information for animism because of the following reasons. First, it defines what animism is. The reader is able to understand the beliefs and tenets of its followers and also why itââ¬â¢s different from other religions of the world. The site has succinctly explained the two perspectives: early and contemporary perspectives. This provides us with enough information that enables us to come up with our own understanding of what animism is by marrying concepts from early perspectives with the contemporary perspective. The characteristics of this religion are well described to distinguish animism from other religions. One major characteristic is that all animate objects have life and do not distinguish soul as separate that, can either enter or leave our bodies. Despite the fact that the site provides more information about animism, it fails to compare and contrast this religion with other religions of the world to understand the practices that it might be sharing with other religion and also how unique it is. It is only through comparison that the reader can understand why it qualifies to be a distinct religion.

Conflict and Harmony in The Tempest Essay -- Tempest essays
Conflict and Harmony in The Tempest à à à William Shakespeare describes a 'utopic' world saturated with supernatural images and ideas which works to create the mysterious island where The Tempest takes place.à This is one of Shakespeare's best examples of how a natural harmony reveals itself through the actions of discourse and confusion.à To illustrate this idea best one must examine the historical context upon which The Tempest is based.à Because this play was published in the early 1600s, controversial cultural and political events undoubtedly surface.à Furthermore, by analyzing the sub-plots in the play, the reader has a better understanding of Shakespeare's purpose for including multi-plots, which is to create conflicts that all have a different context but coexist to create a more natural harmony.à à Finally, one must recognize that the moral conflict that characters face in The Tempest is crucial in understanding the harmony that is created.à For example, it is important to realize tha t although the play ends with reconciliation for most of the characters, it does not have the same effect on all of the characters.à Therefore, by examining the effects of the historical context, the inclusion of sub-plots, and the importance of moral conflict the reader may take a more comprehensive approach in understanding how Shakespeare finds a harmonious closure in The Tempest. à à In 1623, The Tempest made its debut in Shakespeare's First Folio of works (Hirst 36).à Historically, this play is different from Shakespeare's later plays in that he divides it into acts and scenes and leaves the island nameless (Hirst 36).à In other plays such as Twelfth Night and Merchant of Venice, where the same natural harmony is ultimately c... ... Address Racial Inequalities Past And Present - 1247 Words
Title: How to address Racial Inequalities: Past and Present Introduction It is no secret that racial inequalities exist today and have for many years now. They have existed at many levels including institutional, collective, and personal. In this paper, I plan to show how previous policies created these inequalities, and explain how we can address these issues at all levels. I will also show which policies have had an impact on minorities in contributing to greater equality. For racial inequality at the personal level, I chose to look at the perception of racial inequalities through the eyes of white America. First I wanted to address the idea of color blind racism. Bonilla-Silva explains how white America believes that ââ¬Å"the nation is beyond raceâ⬠¦.and believes they have nothing to do minorities issues with racial inequality.â⬠When whites are asked about racial inequality toward blacks they use the ââ¬Å"it wasnââ¬â¢t meâ⬠stance to deny any responsibility. By doing this they are suggesting that there are alternative perspectives or reasons for minorities standing in society but not racism. There is the sense that white America uses this stance to indirectly ââ¬Å"blame the victimâ⬠. For example, rather than credit the racial inequalities that blacks faced for many years, white America will cite personal responsibility over racial discrimination as to why blacks canââ¬â¢t get ahead. White America is not used to e xperiencing racial inequalities, and are able to ignore racismShow MoreRelatedJohn F. Kennedy s Civil Rights Address1032 Words à |à 5 Pagesthe United States.
